What We Do

We are a Construction Manager-Agent (CMA) and we do everything the traditional general contractor would do. We work directly with your architect, or can recommend one, we build out the scope of work for the various phases, solicit for quotes for subcontractors, provide onsite management and make sure budgets and timelines are adhered to.  What we don’t do is where your savings will begin. We don’t mark up quotes of sub-contractors, generate change orders at a premium, or recommend unnecessary material that drives up the cost of your project. In fact, there is no benefit to us once our fee is set to drive up the cost of your project.

How do we save you money?  I’m certain you are asking that very question.  Well, we charge you a management fee as a CMA and our fee is fixed.  Again, what that gets you is almost everything you get with the design-build or construction manager-at-risk models.  We charge a fixed rate percentage, on a sliding scale, of the project budget for our services. Let’s say your budget is set at $5M.  A general contractor all-in could cost you roughly 30% of that budget, or $1.5M.  On the same budget we might set our management fee at 8%, or $400k.  That means $1.1M more can be invested into your project.  As much as we would like to tackle all of your projects, projects between $1M and $15M are values that we can best serve our clients.

We are currently serving as the CMA at Northside ISD in Vernon, TX. We are overseeing projects of one complete home remodel, four exterior house paints, three privacy fences, High School hallway remodel, Field House expansion, new playground fence, and four restroom remodels all across the district.
